Bachman on the Bench

Justice…by all and for all

Visibly upset, defendant and self proclaimed murderess Jodi Arias heard the voice of her victim, Travis Alexander. The motivational speaker sounds relaxed and quiet but what was interesting to me was how much the call actually hurt the defense.

As the members of the Alexander family wiped tears away at the sound of his voice, Arias’ involvement in the call to me screams everything but what she was hoping it portrays. Not only does it make her sound like a willing participant in what she supposedly claims was an abusive sexual relationship, but that she is both enjoying it and responding to activity with positive phrases.  Calling him “so cute” and “funny”, she shows that she is literally enjoying Alexander’s attention and happy to oblige and return the favor.

The sexual interactions as a whole, seem to be a positive in Arias life, which she shows when she stated “If it’s wrong I don’t want to be right”.  Discussing how Alexander “goes to town” she even positively discussed the supposedly attempted rape of Alexander while she was asleep; her voice enthralls enjoyment and to me spits in her own defense’s face.

What is even more strange was the statements in regards to the supposedly offending sexual interactions, she seems to discuss her interest in both them and furthering the escapades calling them “fun” and saying that she likes “being handled” and is ready for “whatever you (Travis) comes up with”, the same objective which Arias is declaring was a part of her “self defense”.  She even discusses the braids which she in a police interview denied ever being clad in.

Obviously, the defense sees this; the only part that is even discussed is the young girl comment Alexander stated. Why then was the entire call used? I do not understand how this at all helped other than to show prospective guilt by Arias’ reaction, I see no assistance in the defense and  hope the man whose voice was on that tape is resting peacefully knowing…justice will soon come.
